App settings
Jira admins can decide who can do what in the app. Go to Jira settings → Apps and choose Pivot & Roll-up Reports in the sidebar.
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Who can use the app | The full page, dashboard gadgets and the issue roll-up panel |
| Who can save new reports | Saving new reports and copies. Others can still explore, and open and edit reports shared with them |
| Who can share reports with everyone | The “Everyone on this site” option when sharing. Sharing with projects, groups and editors stays open to every report owner |
| Who can use AI | Every purple ✦ button, which spends the site’s monthly AI requests |
For each, add one or more Jira groups. Leave a list empty to allow everyone. Press Save settings.
- Jira admins can always do everything, whatever the settings say.
- Each setting also needs access to the app: someone outside Who can use the app can’t do anything else either.
- People who aren’t allowed something see a short message saying their Jira admin has turned it off, rather than a broken button.
Settings limit the app, not the data
Reports always run with each viewer’s own Jira permissions. These settings decide who can use the app’s features; Jira’s permission schemes still decide which issues each person can see.
Managing everyone’s reports
Jira admins can see every saved report under Open a saved report → All (admin), change or delete any of them, restore deleted ones and transfer ownership.
