Saving and sharing
Saving
Press Save to keep a report. New reports are private: only you and Jira admins can see them. Save a copy makes your own copy, which is also how you keep changes to a report someone else shared with you.
Star a report (☆) to keep it at the top of Open a saved report and the home page’s recent list.
Sharing
Press Share to choose who can view it:
- Everyone on this site who uses the app
- People who can browse these projects
- Members of these groups
People you share with can open and explore the report and save their own copy.
Editors
Under Who can change it, add people or groups as editors. Editors can change the report and who it’s shared with. Only the owner and Jira admins can delete it.
Transferring ownership
The owner or a Jira admin can hand a report to someone else under Owner in the Share window, for example when someone leaves the team. The previous owner stays on as an editor.
Deleting and restoring
Delete removes a report for everyone. Its owner or a Jira admin can restore it from Recently deleted within 30 days.
Everyone sees their own numbers
A shared report is a layout, not a copy of the data. Each person sees it with their own Jira permissions, so issues they can’t browse are never in their numbers, drill-downs or exports.
Your Jira admin may limit who can save new reports or share with everyone. See App settings.
