Rows, columns and values

The layout decides how issues are grouped and what is measured. Choose Edit layout to open it, and Show fields for the list of fields.

Adding fields

Click a field to add it to + Rows, + Columns or + Filters, or drag it into a zone. Drag chips to reorder them or move them between zones; hover a chip and press × to remove it. Click a chip to change its settings.

You can group by:

  • Fields: project, issue type, status, status category, priority, assignee, reporter, labels, components, fix versions, sprint, created, resolved, and your site’s custom fields. Custom fields appear under + N site fields or when you search.
  • Hierarchy levels: initiative, epic, story and sub-task, or your own levels. See Roll-ups and hierarchy.
  • Issue: one row per issue.
  • Worklog author and worklog date (by day, week, month or quarter), for time reports.

Dates can be grouped by day, week, month, quarter or year.

Rows nest: with Epic then Assignee in rows, each epic expands to show its assignees. Use Expand all and Collapse all above the table.

Values

Values are what each cell measures:

ValueNotes
CountNumber of issues
SumStory points, original estimate, remaining estimate, time spent, or any number custom field. Also average, median, min or max
% doneBy issue count, story points or original estimate
Time loggedFrom worklogs, limited to the date range when it applies to worklogs
Time in statusTotal or average time issues spent in the statuses you pick

Click a value’s chip, or the ⋯ in its column heading, to change it. Show as turns a value into:

  • a % of the total, of its row or of its column
  • a running total across the columns, such as points done so far, week by week (a burn-up)
  • the change from the column before, in its own units or as a percentage

You can also rename a value with Label, and highlight its cells (see Highlights and heatmaps).

Sorting and totals

Click a column heading to sort rows by it; click again to reverse. Row and column totals can be turned off under Options → Show.
